Doula support package

What is a doula?
A doula is a skilled, caring woman who offers support before, during and after childbirth. The word ‘doula’ comes from the Greek language and means ‘wise, serving woman’ or a woman who is there for you completely, unbiased. In addition, a doula is a valuable support for your partner, who knows you through and through. A doula is part of your birth team; in addition to the partner, midwife, maternity care and possibly the medical staff in the hospital, she is the continuous factor during the birth process.
As a doula I attend home births and deliveries in a hospital or birth center. I will come during labour at the moment you want me to be there and stay for a few hours after the birth of your baby.
In the meetings before the birth we discuss your wishes and we get to know each other. A doula doesn’t judge you for the choices you make. It’s your pregnancy, your baby and your body. As a doula, I trust that you will make the choices that are best for you at that moment based on love and knowledge. I help you to collect this knowledge, propose solutions and help you with any concerns or fears, but above all I am here for you.
When labor starts, I’ll come at the time you want me to. I won’t leave until a few hours after your baby is born.

Postpartum Support
A new life in your life; a child to care for, but also a mother who has been born (again). A change in everything, your family, your relationship, the connection with yourself. I am there to support you during this intensive period. When the maternity care, kraamzorg, leaves, I will come (back).
I am there for you, your child and your partner and can help you in various areas; Whether it is to do some extra household chores or you need some support with the care of your child. Maybe you want to sleep for an hour and I will watch the baby and play a game with your three-year-old toddler. Then I will cook for you and bring you a delicious smoothie in bed. All this so that you can rest optimally and enjoy your maternity period.
I have followed a training on breastfeeding support and have almost 7 years of experience with breastfeeding myself. I can therefore also support you well in this area and if we cannot find a solution, I have a broad network with, among others, lactation consultants.
Postpartum support can be booked throughout the first year after your delivery.
Cost
€55 per hour (minimum of 10 hours)
For purchases of 20 hours or more, you will receive a 10% discount.
Please note:
All the above rates include travel costs within 10 km from Naaldwijk (for all extra km’s I charge 23 cents per km) and exclude parking costs.
Health Insurance Reimbursement
There are a number of health insurers in the Netherlands that reimburse doula counseling and/or a pregnancy course. Please contact your own health insurer for this.
